Design and build of a new trade specific website for speciality tea

The Client:

FLORA TEA The art of tea sensation

The Flora Tea™ concept which dramatically introduces a wow factor and drama to the art of tea preparation and consumption (see our video above which shows actual aromatic flowers ‘blooming’ when water is added to the tea).

As their multiple awards confirm, their aim in creating a unique, sensational experience whilst enjoying premier tea has been achieved with this concept – it is now proving hugely popular, particularly in the gift sector.

The Challenge

FLORA TEA is sold to many restaurants, cafes, and shops worldwide. The challenge was to provide a small team with an easy to use sytstem that would allow their many trade customers to purchase in bulk online. Moreover to do this in a way that was easy and avoided the temptation to phone in with their order, thereby allowing their sales team to concentrate on new sales rather than being tied to just servicing the existing customer base.

The Solution

The solution was to build a login only trade portal with a quick order form to allow the whole range to be shopped from just one page. This has the advantage that avoids jumping between multiple pages to create an order and also allows the customer to easily review which items thay have added to their order and the total price of the basket, without leaving the page.

The Results

  • A new, user-friendly website that saw 88% of its traffic come from new users, within 2 months
  • A successful website re-design – including new video and online content as well as a trade portal with quick order form.
