The Longhorn

The Longhorn

WED DESIGN

The Longhorn is a steakhouse restaurant in Gloucestershire dedicated to serving premium British beef, with a focus on meats from its own herd prepared with care. Their menu features bold flavours and locally-sourced ingredients, with standout prime steaks grilled to precision alongside complementary dishes. The venue also offers private upstairs dining space for larger groups, making it a versatile option for both casual meals and special occasions.

The Challenge

The Longhorn needed an online presence that matched the quality and provenance of its product — premium British beef from its own herd — but the previous site was outdated, lacked clear branding, and didn’t properly communicate the story of its locally raised meats, nor did it offer a seamless menu / booking experience. As a relatively niche steakhouse rooted in Gloucestershire, the restaurant needed to stand out, build trust, and convert site visitors into reservations.

The Solution

We built a fresh, modern website that foregrounds The Longhorn’s unique selling points: farm-to-fork provenance, British beef from their own herd, locally sourced produce, and expert grilling. The design emphasizes high-impact imagery of steaks, animals, and the rustic setting, accompanied by clear calls-to-action for menu viewing and online booking. We structured the site to guide visitors through their story (heritage, herd, cooking), menu offerings, venue amenities (including private dining), and contact/booking details. We also made sure the site was responsive, fast, and SEO-optimised (so people searching for steak restaurants Gloucestershire / Tewkesbury find them readily).

The Result

The new site elevated The Longhorn’s brand perception: visitors immediately sense quality and authenticity. Engagement metrics improved — more users click through to view the menu and make bookings — and search rankings for “steakhouse Tewkesbury / steak Gloucestershire” have begun to climb. The stronger digital presence helps turn casual browsers into diners, and gives the restaurant a foundation for growth and future marketing campaigns.
