Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) is the state-owned enterprise responsible for managing and developing the Maldives’ airport infrastructure, including its primary international gateway. Incorporated under the Companies Act of the Republic of Maldives, MACL operates under the strategic guidance of a Board of Directors appointed by the President. Headquartered on Hulhulé Island, MACL plays a pivotal role in shaping first impressions of the Maldives as a world-class destination.
More than an operator, MACL is a brand ambassador for the nation—its airports are the starting point of an unforgettable Maldivian experience. MACL was born out of the government airport authority and in order to put it onto a business orientated track, a complete re-brand was required. With no formal logo for MACL previously they had been using the logo of the old Airport Authority together with the MACL name.
